About the role
We are partnering with a fast-growing product company seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead automation testing for their software products. This role involves designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks across backend, web, and mobile applications.
Roles and responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust, scalable test automation frameworks for backend, web, and mobile applications.
- Develop and execute automated test suites for distributed services and IoT devices, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Perform manual testing as needed.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate automated tests within development and CI/CD pipelines.
- Set up and manage mock servers to simulate API responses for testing purposes.
- Identify areas for improvement in the QA process and contribute to developing innovative testing solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development and testing, particularly with distributed services and microservices architectures.
- Proven expertise in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks and custom testing tools.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, JavaScript).
- Experience with SQL and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like CircleCI or equivalent.
- Familiarity with modern test automation frameworks for backend (e.g., RestAssured, Postman) and frontend (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Understanding of Agile development practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Basic knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
