The Role
I am currently representing a game changing Edtech/ Wellbeing startup to find an experienced Software Developer. If you are passionate about using your skill set to make a difference to the ever growing Climate crisis - reach out!
Requirements
As our Senior Software Developer, you'll bring:
- At least 6 years of genuine developer/development experience with customer-facing web applications
Experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle
Experience working in, and helping to create, a strong engineering culture
Experience with some of the technologies we use:
TypeScript
React (or other JS framework)
Node.js
Google Cloud (or AWS, Azure), including architecting and deploying applications
SQL
DevOps processes and technologies (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
GraphQL and Restful APIs
Flutter (Dart)
Native mobile development (Android, iOS)
Testing processes and frameworks
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (incl. performance, data
structures, design patterns, networking)
You enjoy working with people and bringing a collective solution to the production
environment
Ready to make a difference in the world with development that will actually have a
direct impact on human lives, by enabling students to handle life issues better than ever before!
Your day-to-day:
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), ideally based in New Zealand. We are flexible on working arrangements and hours, though we have a preference for applicants that can be based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Would consider remote for the right candidate and can support visa
Duties include:
Collaborating with designers, engineers and founders to build an awesome web and mobile application
Writing code that is clean, highly maintainable and well-tested
Managing the deployment and maintenance of the product
Operating as a team player
Architecting solutions for new use-cases and problems
Working to continuously improve the codebase and architecture
Orchestrating the response when production issues arise
Taking responsibility for the technical delivery of a reliable product that customers love
