NextWave Partners are working exclusively with a business involved in carbon management. This is a sales position, where this individual will also be groomed to oversee the REC business in the near future.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of achieving sales revenue targets for the Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), including the creation of a robust sales pipeline and the facilitation of successful sales closures within designated revenue intervals:

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis to identify industries with significant scope 2 carbon emissions.

  • Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with identified customers by delivering value-added advisory services on decarbonization solutions.

  • Lead sales interactions with customers from initiation to closure, encompassing the submission and negotiation of commercial proposals, as well as the negotiation of contractual agreements.

  • Take charge of achieving supply targets for EACs, comprising the development of a comprehensive supply pipeline and the establishment of long-term agreements with renewable energy generators in adherence to designated supply benchmarks:

  • Analyze demand trends for various EAC categories within the specific market(s) of focus, while considering forecasted demand from other markets.

  • Manage the inventory portfolio and mitigate inventory risks through vigilant monitoring of the customer demand pipeline and market price trends.

  • Assume a leadership role in formulating and implementing the EAC business strategy, go-to-market planning and execution, budgetary planning, and daily operational activities.

    Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years of sales experience within the energy, commodity, or financial sectors, with a proven track record of selling to substantial multinational corporations. This experience should include at least 6 years in a leadership role, overseeing sales teams with revenue targets.

  • Proficiency in leading, motivating, and coaching a team of direct reports to enhance performance.

  • An added advantage would be experience in navigating the regulatory and governance standards of large corporate entities, coupled with an understanding of the dynamic environment of fast-scaling startups.

  • Knowledge in the realm of voluntary/compliance Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), decarbonization, corporate sustainability, and/or experience in EAC trading would be considered advantageous.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English are a must. Proficiency in another language would be an additional asset.
