The Role

A leading developer of Renewable Energy projects in Italy is seeking for a strategic role, a Project Development Manager with substantial experience in developing utility-scale PV and BESS projects in Italy from inception to Ready to Build (RTB).

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake and coordinate all necessary activities for the successful development of projects, aiming to obtain all required permits for building the project.
• Evaluate project feasibility within and outside the designated area.
• Support the Italian technical department in creating and assessing preliminary layouts.
• Assess environmental and technical restrictions in compliance with Italian regulations/laws.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with other producers, Distribution System Operators (DSO), Transmission System Operators (TSO), and participate in Technical tables and grid-sharing agreements.
• Coordinate technical activities with local and group-wide experts.
• Secure the most economical Medium Voltage (MV)/High Voltage (HV) grid connection before accepting System Technical Management Guidelines (STMG) and manage the application procedure for obtaining grid capacity with the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO)/TSO.
• Lead and manage the permitting process for PV/BESS/Wind projects in the country.
• Communicate with authorities, landowners, and partners.
• Develop projects considering quantitative and qualitative goals, applying a commercial mindset.
• Periodically report to the Country Manager/Head of Development following the company policy.
• Apply the company's quality control procedures, with a strong focus on Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) policy.
• Liaise with the Construction team before and after RTB.

Requirements

• Engineering/Architect/Management degree.
• 3+ years of professional experience in PV/Wind projects.
• 3+ years of experience as a Development Project Manager in renewable energy, specifically PV/Wind projects.
• High communication and negotiation skills.
• Team player.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
