Our current client works at a scale like no other, tapping into advanced data science and machine learning techniques to make sure that their apps are running smoothly and applying what they need for their wide variety of users.

Work on a team of Software Engineers who apply Machine Learning techniques and build Big Data infrastructure for the Data Science team. You’d be able to tap into a multitude of problems including but not limited to pricing, fraud detection, optimization, forecasting, time-series and recommendation systems. You’d be able to work with a highly diverse and talented team of engineers who understand the pace that is required of a Technical disrupter.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to work with a Data team and understand the business problems to help make production-ready code
  • Lead a team of junior engineers on their technical standards and code
  • Be able to run APIs and develop modelling techniques that are capable of processing a high volume of data and machine learning code
  • Work on open source coding languages including Python, Go and java
  • Run fluent scripts through pandas, tensorflow, keras, with an understanding and awareness of how machine learning algorithms apply to the real world
  • Build on Big Data tools like Spark, Flink, Hadoop and Beam to develop a strong infrastructure that links to a Cloud platform

Requirements

  • Minimally holding a Bachelors in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related fields
  • Holding at least 5 years of work experience in engineering roles where preferably, you’ve been expected to run production-ready code
  • Proficient in Python
  • Big Data exposure on tools such as Spark, Flink, Hadoop and Beam
  • Ability to query on SQL and noSQL databases
  • Cloud exposure, preferably on Google Cloud or AWS
  • DevOps and micro-service experience using tools such as Kubernetes
  • Experience on Golang or Java is a plus
