About the Role

NextWave is working with a major offshore wind developer in South Korea who has a pipeline of over 30 GW globally. They are looking to appoint a development manager to lead the project development on a portfolio of their offshore wind projects in Korea.

Responsibilities

• Manage project development, budget, and funding to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.
• Secure necessary permits, manage stakeholder engagement, and minimize project risks through proactive measures.
• Lead stakeholder engagement plans and support project site visits to manage risks effectively.
• Review contracts, select consultants, and oversee health & safety plans for contractors.
• Coordinate project timelines, prepare approval papers, and respond to investors' due diligence inquiries efficiently.

Requirements:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Project Management

• Minimum of 3 years working in a project development, project control, or project engineer role preferably in the offshore wind industry in Korea
• Fluency in written and spoken Korean as well as English
• Experience with Korean regulatory and authority requirements and permitting will be preferred
