Our Client:

A global PE firm known for their energy transition and green infrastructure portfolio is currently seeking for an experienced HR Leader to lead and drive one of their renewable energy platform in the Asia region.

Role & Responsibilities:

Starting off as an individual contributor, reporting directly to the CEO of the platform and indirectly to the Global HRD, our client is seeking for an experienced and dynamic Head of HR with regional expertise to join their team in Singapore.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and implementing strategic and operational HR initiatives across multiple countries, including but not limited to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of local employment laws and regulations in the mentioned regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regional HR Leadership:

    • Provide leadership and strategic direction for HR activities across the designated region.
    • Drive end-to-end HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
  2. Department Set Up and Management:

    • Establish and manage HR departments in various locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures consistent with local regulations.
  3. HR Systems Implementation:

    • Lead the implementation of HR systems to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
    • Ensure the integration of technology to support HR functions and reporting.
  4. M&A and Divestment Support:

    • Actively participate in M&A transactions, providing HR expertise to support integration efforts.
    • Develop and execute HR strategies for potential divestments, including exit strategies and asset disposition.
  5. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

    • Stay abreast of local employment laws and regulations in each country within the region.
    • Develop and enforce HR policies that align with legal requirements.
  6. Business Growth and Scalability:

    • Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Contribute to the growth and scalability of the organization through effective human capital management.
  7. Talent Attraction and Retention:

    • Design and implement HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Must-have: Extensive experience in HR leadership roles with a focus on regional responsibilities.
  • Must-have: Proven experience in setting up HR departments, implementing HR systems, and managing M&A and divestment activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of local employment laws and regulations across the designated region.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to business growth.
