Nextwave Partners are working with an APAC organisation which has a global expansion plan in place. This company supports the digitalisation of the utilities sector, providing software to both the energy retail market and commercial & industrial entities wishing the become ‘smarter’

Role & Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers, present the solution, qualify needs, prepare feasibility study and 
business case, draft commercial proposals and close deals; in particular:
  • Define solutions to interface the platform with existing BMS or HVAC systems on 
industrial facilities or commercial buildings in order to communicate and control equipment;
• Maintain client relationship;
• Be the interface between clients and the company’s technical and engineering team in Melbourne
• Provide technical customer feedback to the organisations product development teams.
• Research market and technology trends to identify new product feature offerings
• Identify other sales channels (ESCO, engineering firms etc)
• Develop & maintain project technical documentation standards
• Participate in any marketing or sales event
• 3-8 years control system design experience, in commercial/ industrial HVAC or building automation (Johnson Controls, ABB, Schneider, or Siemens)
• Thorough understanding of Modbus, BACnet or similar protocols
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated understanding of solution selling techniques and selling software or services solutions to 
business customers, in particular integrated utilities, energy retailers, major property developers and/or 
large commercial and industrial energy consumers.
• The ability to present complex content in simple, clear, concise and engaging manner.

• Ability to work independently and seek solutions where none is evident.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 3-8 years control system design experience, in commercial/ industrial HVAC or building automation
• Thorough understanding of Modbus, BACnet or similar protocols
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated understanding of solution selling techniques and selling software or services solutions to 
business customers, in particular integrated utilities, energy retailers, major property developers and/or 
large commercial and industrial energy consumers.
• The ability to present complex content in simple, clear, concise and engaging manner.
• Company culture fit; team player, positive mindset, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work independently and seek solutions where none is evident.
• Comfortable with working with remote teams in a rapidly growing company
• Outcome oriented;
• Demonstrates willingness and determination to set clear goals strives to attain them and is not deterred by 
challenges.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel as required
• Fluent in English; Mandarin a plus
