Our client is in the insurance fintech industry and they’re looking out for a product manager to drive their product innovation (0-1) strategy. The candidate will be responsible for working with the technology and product teams to successfully create, test, and deploy solutions related to customer-centric insurance offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of features and development roadmap, prioritize key features
  • Leverage and develop a network in the insurance industry to form the right partnerships with insurers/ecosystem partners to develop customer-centric and innovative solutions
  • Lead insurance product development end-to-end, including conceptualization of product design, partnership solution rollout, and articulation/prioritization of business requirements
  • Understand and keep abreast of the competitive landscape, having a clear view of the positioning of our offering against competitors
  • Manage partnerships and negotiate with partners on commercials and solution
  • Drive and manage design thinking and co-creation workshops with partners to build a portfolio of new insurance solutions tailored to the needs of the end consumer and our clients
  • Identify revenue opportunities and execute high-value partnership deals within the Insurance sector that lead to a better customer proposition
  • Write and convey user stories detailing the implementation of features to the development team
  • Provide clarification for all necessary questions arising out of Insurance feature, and serve as the conduit between Tech and Business for these verticals
  • Serve as knowledge base of Insurance offerings for all staff

Requirements

  • 4 - 8 years of Product experience preferably from Insurtech background
  • Experience spanning across the journeys of a typical user, including: insurance education, calculation of gap in insurance coverages/offerings, presenting solutions to the users, setting personal milestones to achieve goals and tracking progress, fulfilment of insurance solutions
  • Deep knowledge across insurance product categories that deliver value to users
  • Understanding of local market and network within Insurtech, comparison engine and coverage analysis partners would be advantageous
  • Familiarity across different segments of users according to their life stage and affluence, and their commensurate varying needs and wants to fulfil insurance gap
  • Ability to interchangeably translate between business and technical requirements for developers
  • Measured approach towards managing feedback, across internal stakeholders, external users, and partners
  • Willingness to take calculated risks where necessary to try potentially revolutionary approaches that carry significant chances of failure, and the ability to improvise and course-correct on the fly
