The role

My client is an emerging business in the social networking and consumer tech industry. With their social networking application, they are re-imagining the membership clubs of tomorrow by creating an truly authentic and creative space where users can connect, collaborate, inspire and innovate.

As the Head of Product, this role will work alongside cross-functional teams and report to the CEO. This position also encompasses the following activities:

• Prioritise and supplement product roadmap with quantitative and qualitative research, market research/insights and product analysis to create meaning
• Identify target market's key problems and assess product and market fit opportunities
• Evaluate vertical industry domain business, product, operational and technical issues
• Conduct and oversee user research through surveys, interviews, prototyping and analytics
• Carry out competitor analysis to determine market gaps and differentiator opportunities
• Collaborate and work with relevant technical and design teams to define, review and deliver product
• Craft and present recommendations, proposals and product roadmaps
• Demonstrate latest iteration (pre-releases) to customers and gather feedback

You'll Fit Right In If You Are:

• Passionate about the product development process and able to demonstrate ownership
• Someone who has a deep understanding towards the needs of users
• Appreciative of user-centric design and are able to work with designers to define user experience for varying interfaces
• Highly quantitative, analytical and business-minded, with a knack for solving complex issues in an organised manner
• Have deep customer focus and experience in learning and determining customer needs through online and offline research techniques
• A believer of showing true leadership through collaboration across the business
• A proactive individual with a high-energy attitude to get things done

Qualifications We Need

• 6+ years full time experience in Product Management for technology businesses
• Thorough and extensive experience with UI / UX and funnel conversion optimisation across web and mobile applications
• Ability to define product requirements through user journeys, flows and stories
• Ability to design iterative product roadmaps with prototyping, MVP, Beta and product releases in mind
• General understanding of technical concepts operating in modern systems
• Experience in mentoring and leading Junior Product Managers, Product Associates and Interns
• Strong organisation and planning skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - comfortable in presenting, leading team meetings and collaborating
• Experience in social media, social apps, social commerce, online marketplaces or related digital platforms is a bonus
