Role Overview

A leading Venture Capital in search of a People Leader who is adept at fostering and guiding our team of dynamic and motivated professionals spanning three regions: Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Our overarching goal for our workforce is to establish a supportive environment where individuals feel secure, valued for their true selves, and encouraged to continuously advance while staying at the forefront of finance and technology innovation within the venture capital industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Partners and key stakeholders to cultivate a positive, growth-oriented, and productive workplace environment, while preserving and evolving culture over the past decade
  • Serve as both a HR advisor and a driver of personnel matters for the Partners.
  • Proactively source, build talent pools, and recruit exceptional individuals across Southeast Asia through personal networks, employer branding initiatives, and strategic partnerships with organizations and recruitment partners.
  • Take ownership of all aspects of talent management, including hiring, employee development, cross-functional alignment, employee relations, feedback mechanisms, career planning, and HR information systems, ensuring alignment with compensation and performance management practices.
  • Develop, manage, and implement effective people initiatives, processes, systems, tools, playbooks, solutions, and programs to enhance the effectiveness and success of functions and projects.
  • Work closely with headquarters to leverage HR systems as a key multiplier for the firm to achieve its strategic targets and goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of prior experience in HR, people management, hiring, and culture development within the tech startup or venture capital industry.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams Passion and ability to articulate philosophies and approaches to building exceptional workplaces.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of setting clear guidelines and deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with a nuanced understanding and high standard of proficiency.
