About the Role

NextWave are working with a leading global offshore wind developer who are actively developing a pipeline of early stage offshore wind projects across the South America region. They are now looking to hire a Head of Origination to lead this front end development work for the business.

Responsibilities

• Originating and identifying opportunities in mature and new South American markets
• Creating commercial and technical overview and initial business case when entering into new projects and initiatives
• Overseeing development partnerships in the South American region
• Responsible for the company's development activities until entry into projects are finalised
• Representing the company's interest towards partners and key stakeholders for projects in the origination and development phase
• Leading strategic projects ensuring full readiness for implementation
• Accountability for Growth Review input and strategy, as well as market specific input for the South American business
  
  

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Due to the location of the role, prior experience South America is key
• Due to the regional scope of the role, fluency in English is key
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese would be a big plus
• A minimum of ten (10) years' experience with a developer, utility or investor in a similar role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
