About the Role
NextWave is working closely with a renewable energy developer that is actively looking to hire a Head of Operations to manage and oversee both technical and engineering teams
Lead and manage a team of technical and engineering professionals, setting clear objectives, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
Drive operational efficiency and excellence throughout the organization by implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure that all technical and engineering activities meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee the design, manufacturing, and installation of solar products and solutions.
Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain the highest standards in product quality, safety, and reliability.
Manage the allocation of resources, including budget, equipment, and personnel, to meet operational goals and objectives.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and R&D, to ensure a seamless integration of operations within the broader business strategy.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety guidelines.
Develop and maintain operational performance metrics and KPIs, regularly reporting on key performance indicators to executive leadership.
- Native fluency in Japanese and conversational English a must
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Proven track record of at least 7-10 years in operations management and technical leadership, with a focus on manufacturing, engineering, or renewable energy.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a passion for developing and mentoring talent.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of the solar energy industry and a commitment to sustainability and renewable energy solutions.
Familiarity with Japanese regulatory and environmental standards is a plus.
