They are looking to appoint a Head of HSQE to help support their growth and join its Singapore office and be responsible for HSQE across the APAC region. You will provide functional direction of all HSQE matters throughout business operations. The main responsibilities are to:
Responsibilities
- Identify and address legal responsibilities and compliance obligations to meet regulatory requirements.
- Manage HSQE risks and reduce potential liabilities to minimise exposure for the business.
- Ensure HSQE issues do not hinder international expansion or business growth initiatives.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to instil a shared commitment to HSQE excellence.
- Collaborate with partners in the region, enabling them to understand and fulfill their HSQE responsibilities.
- Hold partners accountable for compliance when necessary.
- Take accountability for the effectiveness of our HSQE management systems.
- Establish HSQE OKRs compatible with the strategic direction and organisational
context. - Ensure seamless integration of HSQE requirements across all regional business
processes. - Ensure availability of resources needed for HSQE throughout the region.
- Work with external partners to promote the business and facilitate best practice
sharing. - Establish and oversee robust quality assurance and control processes across the
project lifecycle. - Conduct risk assessments for all projects and operations, identifying potential hazards
and implementing effective mitigation measures.
Qualifications and skills for the role:
You will have the presence and experience to steer the organisation towards developing and delivering a challenging strategy. You will gain trust and commitment by your passion and knowledge of the issues and your drive to always aim for better.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety).
- Experience of leading a executive team and senior leaders on HSQE matters
- At least 10 years experience within a HSQE discipline
- Experience working internationally and with different cultures
- An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management
- Memberships with professional bodies and active CPD
- Deep understanding of HSQE excellence in the construction industry and how to
achieve it
