About the role

NextWave Partners are currently seeking an experienced Head of Electrical to play a pivotal role in the successful development and execution of a portfolio of offshore wind projects in Taiwan. This position involves overseeing all aspects of the Electrical disciplines within an offshore project, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of technical professionals.

  • Lead the department and nurture team development according to the business's evolving needs, facilitating technical excellence across the entire wind farm portfolio lifecycle.

  • Ensure the teams stay updated on the latest trends and innovations within their respective domains while maintaining a balance between innovation and risk management.

  • Empower the department to introduce value-adding initiatives for key stakeholders.

  • Establish the department's direction and ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.

  • Coach and mentor team members across multiple locations.

  • Support the identification of development opportunities.

  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement processes within your area of responsibility.

  • Collaborate closely with other departments to maximize business potential along the value chain.

  • Attract qualified personnel and foster a motivated team.

  • Ensure a high level of safety performance for the team and the supported projects.

  • Ensure that all activities are adequately planned, managed, monitored, and resourced.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess an engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including experience as a Senior Manager in offshore projects and managing large teams.

  • Proficiency in leading a diverse team of individual contributors, ranging from early career professionals to highly experienced employees.

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.

  • Highly motivated, communicative, and capable of serving as a role model for technical specialists.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle strategic, highly complex issues, problems, and challenges, translating technical challenges into economic impact.
