We are working with an Online Internet Company that is dominating the current markets in their area. With this rapid expansion, they have also had to hire more engineers and get leaders to lead them. We are looking for the best Engineering Managers to bring in and lead the Engineering principals and be strong people managers. If you believe you have the ability to take charge a lead a product through a hypergrowth stage, then this is the right challenge for you. 

Role and Responsibility

  • Lead a team of highly technical engineers through design, prototyping, development and implementation of a highly popular app that is used by millions, if not billions of people
  • Be able to manage engineers to perform and build a great product. When required jump in to code and deploy any issues yourself
  • Manage an engineering process within your team that is agile and allows for consistent feedback and code reviews
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders across the globe and be able to deliver to timelines, balancing good quality with speed
  • Ensure and maintain a great standard with the development and products that your team work on
  • Work with a highly diverse team of individuals
  • Provide mentorship to your team and help them grow in their careers

Skills and Requirement

  • Have proven leadership in a prior start up – ideally within B2C environment
  • At least 2 years of management experience, leading teams of more than 5 people
  • Strong ability to design and manage complex infrastructure, being able to help with architectural decision making
  • Experience with distributed and parallel systems for web applications
  • Running teams with strong design principles such as continuous delivery, TDD and Scurm
  • Programming skills in various languages ideally using Golang. Other preferred tools include Python, React, Javascript, Java etc.
  • Strong experience with data structures and relational databases, SQL and distributed service-oriented architectures
  • Have a strong problem solving mindset and keen ability to continually improve your and your teams’ skillsets
  • Be able to understand the full life-cycle and have strong communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
