Cybersecurity Developer - AI Safety & Assurance

Location: Singapore (Hybrid)

Sector: Artificial Intelligence / Deep Tech

A fast-growing AI assurance venture backed by a leading investment firm is looking for a Cybersecurity Developer to join its multidisciplinary team of AI researchers and engineers. This pioneering company is tackling one of the most important challenges of the AI era: ensuring that advanced machine learning systems are safe, secure, and trustworthy.

In this role, you'll work on the frontier of AI security, building tools and frameworks to detect and defend against real-world threats to AI models and infrastructure. You'll be part of a team developing cutting-edge techniques to test and audit complex ML systems, from red teaming and adversarial testing to secure model deployment and governance.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement cybersecurity solutions to secure machine learning pipelines, APIs, and infrastructure.

  • Perform adversarial testing and threat modeling to assess vulnerabilities in AI systems.

  • Collaborate with AI researchers and software engineers to embed security into model development workflows.

  • Build internal tools to automate security evaluations of AI systems, including adversarial robustness, data integrity, and model inversion resistance.

  • Stay ahead of emerging threats in the AI space, from deepfake detection to AI system exploitation, and research practical defenses.

  • Help guide client engagements around AI risk assessments and technical security audits.

What You Bring

  • 3-6 years of experience in software security, red teaming, or DevSecOps, ideally with exposure to ML or data-driven systems.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, and familiarity with securing containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Working knowledge of ML-specific attack vectors (e.g., adversarial inputs, model theft, poisoning).

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, or custom fuzzing frameworks.

  • Comfort working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and modern DevOps pipelines.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly, both internally and with clients.

Bonus Points

  • Prior work securing AI applications in sensitive domains (e.g., healthcare, law enforcement, finance).

  • Experience with differential privacy, secure multiparty computation, or homomorphic encryption.

  • Certifications like OSCP, CISSP, or GIAC.

  • Contributions to open-source security tools or research in AI/ML security.

Why This Role?

  • Be part of a mission-driven venture defining the future of AI safety.

  • Work on technically rigorous, high-impact problems with real-world consequences.

  • Join a team of world-class engineers and researchers backed by a major sovereign investor.

  • Help build trust in AI at a time when it matters most.
