Principal Consultant - Technology (NE Asia)

The Role - Principal Recruitment Consultant – Technology (NE Asia)

The Principal Consultant will work closely with the Business Directors to grow the Technology sector throughout the North-East Asia region, with the aim of them becoming a market expert.

We are looking for someone who has the desire to see how far they can push themselves outside of the traditional recruitment career path.

For NextWave’s high achievers there are opportunities to build recruitment teams and align with Senior Management through equity and profit share in the business. There are also opportunities for international relocation to one of our hub offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow the NextWave Company Brand and establish your own personal brand as a market-leading consultant in the Technology industry within the North-East Asia region.

  • Build a fully sustainable desk within Technology in the North-East Asia region.

  • Network with and headhunting the world’s top professionals in the industry.

  • Develop and nurture a wide client base of Technology companies in the region

  • Through working with Senior Management, you will formulate and execute a structured business development strategy.

  • Conduct face-to-face client meetings to develop deeper relationships with clients and candidates.

  • Elite performer on a daily basis; consistently overachieves on invoiced revenue targets, KPIs, created healthy, sustainable pipeline.

  • Able to engage in strategic recruitment conversations with executive-level client contacts to originate multi- placement opportunities

  • Promotes collaboration through generating new business opportunities for the wider NextWave organisation

  • Sets an example across the business of elite best practices (CRM, Business Development, Candidate Management, branding, culture)

  • Has the leadership & management skills to train an Associate Recruitment Consultant.

  • Actively contributes to the NextWave team by delivering multiple training sessions alongside supporting ‘on the job training’

Your Profile:

  • 3 years prior recruitment experience and at least 3 years experience within the technology market would be advantageous.

  • Prior working experience in Japan will be an advantage to the position as this role will require a deep understanding of the Japanese working culture to build rapport with business professionals from Japan.

  • Fluent in English and Japanese is a must as this role requires exchanges with Japanese professionals and Japanese businesses.

  • Fluency in Korean is a major advantage as this role will also cover the Technology market in South Korea as well and there will be a need to speak to South Korean professionals.

  • Entrepreneurially minded and keen to build a micro-business.

  • Hard-working and driven to make their mark on the Technology Sector throughout the region.

  • Confident, humble, resilient, and an ability to think outside the box.
