The Role – Financial Controller
The Financial Controller will work closely with our Operations Manager and external Accounting partners to integrate our finance operations, streamline our accounting functions across our offices and lead the financing of our global growth.
We are looking for someone who has the desire to see how far they can push themselves outside of traditional career paths, with a development plan to a Senior Management position in the future. For NextWave’s high achievers there are opportunities to align with Senior Management through equity and profit share in the business.
Responsibilities
Preparing financial reports.
Analysing financial data.
Monitoring internal controls.
Overseeing and preparing income statements.
Participating in budgeting processes.
Managing financial transactions.
Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
Handling tax matters
Developing plans for financial growth.
Evaluating and managing risk.
Coordinating audit processes and external accounting partners
Your Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is desired
Proven experience in finance management is preferred but fresh grads are considered
Good communication skills
Strong leadership qualities
Excellent interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Auditing experience is a plus
Compliance oriented
Proficiency in accounting software
Analytical skills
Entrepreneurially minded and solution orientated
Confident, humble, resilient and an ability to think outside the box
