About the Role

We are working with a global renewable energy developer which is expanding in Japan and seeking a Project Manager, BESS, to oversee the delivery of thei projects in the Japanese market.

Responsibilities

* Oversee the project engineering, procurement, and construction process from readiness to build status through asset delivery.

* Facilitate design review meetings involving all stakeholders and prepare design information for procurement processes.

* Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, and construction teams to ensure adherence to project delivery timelines.

* Develop project risk assessments and manage them throughout the project lifecycle.

* Assist in structuring, negotiating, and finalizing EPC proposals and agreements with the procurement team.

* Manage project budgets, milestones, schedules, and deliverables from readiness to build phase until delivery.

* Ensure compliance of construction plans and activities with prefecture and local government regulations.

* Resolve project issues to ensure successful commercial operation.

* Identify key project, interconnection, and access constraints at a high level.

* Monitor and oversee project progress through regular site meetings, engaging with all stakeholders, and reporting on project advancement.

* Take responsibility for project budget and ensure project delivery within budget constraints.
