Title: Senior Manager of Transmission (or Manager depending on experience)

About the Role

NextWave are currently exclusively engaged with a renewable energy developer and IPP. The company is well-funded, has a strong pipeline of projects, is invested in the development of their employees, and they are growing. Currently they are seeking to add a Manager (possibly Senior Manager) of Transmission to their team. This person will be critical in site identification, project M&A, and PPA pricing using their technical expertise in transmission.

The role can be based remotely but occasional travel to the office for facetime would be required if remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing market, historical, and fundamental data, drawing inferences and presenting results in a clear way to internal stakeholders (including non-technical)
• Provide RTO/ISO market insights, price forecasts, basis and curtailment risk, and PPA cash flow evaluations to support internal growth strategies
• Assist the Development team in prospecting of future projects with LMP and capacity market evaluations
• Support multiple ad hoc projects inclusive of those above, completing them in a timely manner

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years' experience developing & operating ProMOD (or similar such as: Gridview, PLEXOS, Aurora, GE MAPS, UPLAN, or Dayzer)
• Experience with and understanding of the NYISO and/or CAISO markets (also desired: PJM and MISO)
• Experience managing large SQL databases
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Experience using Python (or equivalent) programing language is also a plus
