About the Role

We are working with a renowned developer of solar projects across the Asia Pacific region who is looking for a Site Technical Expert to lead technical due diligence and site project management for their solar projects.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for doing regular site visits from the engineering side for various land options proposed by the local project development team for both pre & post bid stages of the project.
• Responsible for collecting all the inputs required for the desktop study to be done by the engineering team after the site visit.
• Responsible for identifying all the technical risks associated for various land options & proposing resolution to the engineering team followed up by preparing a technical feasibility report for the various site visits done.
• Running various softwares for evaluation of terrain , constraints marking and providing usable land area calculations.
• Responsible for providing civil & mechanical feedback to engineering team from PV installation point of view.
• Responsible for preparation of SOW for the land related technical studies to be done for the project, coordinating with the vendors for quotation, supervising technical studies at the site and finalizing the reports with the vendors directly.
• Responsible for providing technical inputs to the engineering team for civil & mechanical section of the project from the reports of the technical studies done.
• Preparation of Civil /mechanical BOM for the project both at pre & post bid stages of the project
• Responsible for optimization of structure tonnage & civil related designs for the project.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Solar engineering role
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of PV standard civil calculations
• Strong knowledge of photovoltaic system civil / mechanical design and optimizing system components .
• Good knowledge of Stad Pro , AutoCAD, Google Sketchup, PV design, PV Case , SUNDAT
• Good knowledge of civil codes as per Philippines region
• Well versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Power point)
