About the role

Our client is a Software-as-a-Service fintech company that provides cloud-based treasury, liquidity and risk management to global organizations and enhances their cash visibility and financial controls. They have global presence in multiple cities, including New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Paris, and onboard hundreds of new clients in the past 12 months. They are currently looking for a site reliability engineer to join their team, who will be responsible for ensuring availability, performance monitoring and incident responses of its fintech applications. To be successful in this role, you need to be comfortable working independently as an individual contributor and work well in multi-cultural teams.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Orchestrate, deploy, and manage virtualized infrastructures on private and hybrid cloud environment
  • Advocate for DevOps and SRE culture and best practices in cross-functional teams
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues, and find and improve performance bottlenecks
  • Response to incidents promptly and identify potential issues
  • Maintain operational, configuration procedures and documentation
  • Upgrade and configure software and deploy patches on a regular basis


Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System Engineering, or relevant degree
  • Have minimum of 3 years of working experience supporting applications and systems in a production environment
  • Have good working experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Have experience with devops and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Chef
  • Have minimum 2 years of experience with open-source Linux- Unix system administration and shell scripting experience
  • Ideally have experience in troubleshooting and maintaining large and complex environments.
  • Ideally have strong experience in VMWare, virtual machines and Postgres DDBMS management
  • Good to have knowledge in network administration and ITIL Framework
  • Excellent communication skills to work well in multi-cultural teams
  • Must be willing to work on rotational on-call arrangement as required
