About the Role

Our client is a Global Solar IPP that is at the leading edge of solar and creating a great working culture. They are committed to investing in their team members the same way they are invested in reducing carbon emissions through creating clean energy. Their constantly growing team is looking for a Sr. Project Engineer to join their team. The Project Engineer will be vital to the successful design, construction, interconnection, and commissioning of their solar projects throughout the US.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage the technical requirements through documents for engineering, project management, and EPC engagements (via contractual documents)
  • Support the selection and contract negotiation for EPC firms
  • Complete design approvals and review for projects in the pipeline
  • Visit sites as needed to support construction progress / to validate progress with lending parties and external engineers
  • Assist in selecting 3rd party engineers and finance partners
  • Manage Owner's Engineer as required to support the construction team
  • Act as specialty expert internally and externally as needed (representing the Civil Specialty)

Requirements

  • Ability to create CapEx Estimations
  • Advanced knowledge with PVsyst, PVsol
  • CAD Experience required (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc)
  • BA in Electrical Engineering ideally (open to other engineering degrees)
  • Familiarity with Codes and Regulations as relates to the design and construction of solar projects
  • Experience in Solar construction (utility-scale), including project management support as well as technical document review
  • Extensive experience designing utility-scale solar projects (including high-voltage substations and storage)
  • 3-5 years' experience in similar role
  • Experience with the development, design, construction, and project management of Solar Parks (utility-scale)
