About the Role

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing procurement, contractual, and commercial activities for the successful delivery of renewable energy projects, with a focus on large-scale wind, utility solar PV, and battery projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and recommend contracting strategies for solar PV, wind, and BESS projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Prepare procurement documents for Request for Proposal for EPC and major equipment supply, and related scopes.
  • Lead the procurement process and commercial arrangements for the selection of contractors, consultants, and suppliers, including tendering processes.
  • Support due diligence for debt-financed projects.
  • Negotiate design, procurement, and construction contracts with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Detailed experience in negotiating and managing contracts (leases, connection agreements, consultant services, supply, construction, and O&M services).
  • Demonstrated experience and excellent working knowledge of Australian commercial law (tertiary qualification highly regarded).
  • Understanding of planning, legislative issues affecting power generation projects, and financial aspects of project management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
