About the role

We are currently working with one of the leading software companies that enables cross-boundaries communication and teamwork. The company works with more than 100,000 customers globally, allowing billions of conversations, and business transactions online. Established in Denmark, the company grows quickly in the past few decades to an organization of thousands of employees globally. The Company is currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team, helping with building CICD pipeline from scratch and monitoring infrastructures in a high traffic environment. You will be mainly working on the chat product suite of the software.

Roles and responsibilities

• Design and manage overall performance on the overall product infrastructure, and establish best practices in building necessary platform to support it
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to microarchitect their services
• Build and improve current tools to enable scalability of the server and applications to handle billions of transactions daily
• Work closely with the operations & SRE teammates based in Denmark, the UK and the US to ease the deployment and configurations of new services
• Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshooting with relevant on-call teams
• Work in an agile development environment and participate in engineering sprints along with the Singapore Engineering teams

Requirements:

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant fields of study
• Have at least 5 years of experience working on DevOps tools and Linux Operating System and in production environment
• Possess strong working knowledge in Terraform and Kubernetes
• Possess strong background in cloud platforms ( AWS/ GCP/ Azure)
• Have experience in manage deployments and tune performance of a highly scalable web service environment, preferably in Ruby and Python
• Have experience in building infrastructure as a code using Terraform, and creating containers codes and deploying in a cluster environment
• Ideally have operational understanding of Redis, Memchahed, MySQL, MongoDB and RIAK
• Have strong hands-on experience in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana and NewRelic
• Have strong scripting background in Python, Go, Ruby or Bash
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate successfully with multiple stakeholders
