We are looking for an engineering leader with expertise in Robotics to drive the development of new service and business in existing sectors and new markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead developer of automated tools to evaluate safety, security, and reliability of connected robotic systems
  • Design and productization of proof-of-concept demonstrators
  • Hands on software development and hardware integration where necessary
  • Draft design documents, requirements and guidelines
  • Liaise with internal and external business stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members
  • Supervise junior software developer
  • Project management and reporting
  • Represent the Company at industry forums, standardization committees, and special interest groups

Requirements

  • Degree in relevant fields including Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering
  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in industry or academia programming robots
  • Strong in system modeling and abstract thinking
  • Practical software engineering experience with C++, Python and ROS in a Linux or Unix environment
  • Experience in software testing and system validation
  • Strong project management experience
  • Good understanding of machine learning
  • Team player with ability to work in international and multi-cultural teams
  • Strong communications skills, fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Highly motivated to perform applied research and bring solutions to the market

Good to have

  • Knowledge on robot safety standards
  • Experience in robot application risk assessment
  • Background in programming language design and compiler implementatio
  • Experience with simulation and 3D tools and libraries (Gazebo, OpenCV, Cuda)
  • Experience programming UR or Franka robots
  • Experience in visual analytics (OpenCV)
