My client is a leading organisation within the project development and delivery of both renewable and conventional energy projects in Japan. They are looking to hire an experienced Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of a new Offshore Wind Project they are developing in Japan.

Responsibilities

• Establishing the Project Company from scratch, including team structure and project management team
• Working with the EPC and Package Managers on a daily basis
• Managing the project budget and schedule, ensuring each milestone is hit on time and within budget
• Developing and implementing a procurement strategy, negotiating with key suppliers and sub-contractors
• Reviewing and approving the key deliverables from the teams within the project
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s internal quality standards
• Ensuring that the project complies with internal and external HSE requirements
• Managing dialogue with key project stakeholders
• Preparing and presenting project progress reports to the board

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Engineering (MSc preferred)
• Previous experience delivering a large Offshore Wind project
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work and relocate full time in Japan
