The Performance Analyst job function will be responsible for the identification, tracking, and
documentation of performance issues at multiple utility scale Renewable PV Facilities / Assets. This role will be responsible for utilizing the instrument data from the generating assets to identify key performance and reliability metrics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse instrumented data for Inverters, Inverter Re-Combiners, Trackers, Transformers, and Batteries to identify performance issues
  • Analyse state and fault data to identify reliability failures
  • Perform data collection and analysis on Make Model Specific problems for warranty management
  • Configure the make/model for assets within the fleet in OSI PI
  • Perform performance analysis against project proforma
  • Perform verification of Meter values to identify data loss, quality loss, and other possible metering failure modes
  • Perform verification of Resource measurements to identify data loss, quality loss, and other possible metering failure modes
  • Produce various periodic performance reports for internal and external customers
  • Calculate and report on key power plant metrics to determine the overall health and performance of the assets
  • Validate and improve accuracy of lost energy calculations including energy losses due to curtailment and excessive reactive power dispatch of assets
  • Develop alarming functions to be utilized by the performance AND / OR asset management team
  • Review the performance evaluation methodology currently in place for both EPC and O&M phase and suggest improvements if required
  • Review the existing methodology for production and performance budget preparation and suggest improvements if required
  • Review the existing monitoring system and instruments in place and work continuously to optimize them
  • Review existing methodologies to evaluate performance of new projects, operating or under construction

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Understanding of Renewable Asset Design
  • SQL proficiency
  • Python proficiency preferred
  • Understanding of Database Architectures
  • Demonstrated proficiency of PV System Modelling
  • 2+ years of Commercial/Utility PV Renewable Experience
