NextWave Partners is working with a dynamic energy storage developer. Our client is seeking a full-time, energetic Engineer for utility-scale battery energy storage projects in the United States. The right candidate will be hard working, goal-oriented and passionate about renewables (storage specifically). This Engineer will report to the Director of Energy Storage and work closely with the development directors, asset management and project management staff. They are looking to train this person and give them all the tools it takes to be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage technical procedures for asset management services
  • Manage technical review of engineering and supplier submittals
  • Manage third-party engineers through all project phases
  • Produce preliminary site plans according to local codes and standards
  • Manage vendors and contractors during the preconstruction phase
  • Support early development permitting and public agency meetings
  • Create contract documents, specifications and standard template documents
  • Assist with cost database management and modeling
  • Optimize energy storage system parameters and equipment configuration, given market specific use profiles
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university and/or professional experience in engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in the engineering and installation of power systems
  • Strong communication skills including clear writing and presentation skills
  • Independent self-starter who can manage projects and work with a diverse team
