About the Role

My client is a leading renewable energy developer and investor specialising from development through construction and operations of solar and wind projects globally. They are currently looking for a Head of Business Development in Singapore to support development efforts within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead formulation of local business development strategy, origination, and execution of new business opportunities within SEA.
  • Lead transactional & commercial negotiations.
  • Manage end-to-end development process including documentation, licensing and permitting etc.
  • Lead preparation of investment pitch for investment committee.
  • Build and manage relationships with potential clients and investors, developers, project off-takers etc.
  • Actively engage with key external stakeholders and partners.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, new regulatory and legal frameworks for solar projects.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of working experience in a similar role within the renewable energy industry, solar C&I experience a must.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Southeast Asia renewable energy market.
  • Strong business development and client acquisition experience.
  • Strong understanding in PPAs.
  • Experience in leading transactions and commercial negotiations.
  • Solid understanding of the local regulatory and legal framework.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must, any additional Asian language a plus.
