NextWave Partners has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Business Development - Asia to join a leading solar developer to help them set up and build out the Asia (Commerical & Industrial) market.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving/exceeding sales targets
  • To assist the Executive Management in achieve financial close on the C&I portfolio
  • To build and maintain customer relationships i.e. public appearances at key events, executive level networking, attendance at key client meetings and regular interface with prospective/existing clients
  • Developing and executing plans to achieve targets and expand the company's customer base. Including product evolution, and reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
  • To manage bid for proposals, which requires interacting with customer project drivers. Also the co-ordination of bid resources between the local office and HQ, additionaly managing the documentation quality and timely submission
  • Developing marketing material suitable for the local market. Effectively communicate the value proposition through web marketing, proposals and presentations. Marketing budget will be limited but must be effective when deployed
  • Manage and coordinate with consultants and external contractors
  • To manage the hiring process and release of team members as and when required
  • To collate and prepare regular reporting on project status to the management
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement in the deployment of project i.e. regular project reviews, also chairing innovation workshops to improve the customer experience
  • Facilitation of regular communication across teams for knowledge sharing, lessons learnt in order to unlock improvement potential
  • Must uphold and implement the highest standards in EHS compliance
  • Other assigned tasks


  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Solar project implementation and component product knowledge is highly advanatageous
  • Must be comfortable working in the outdoors, accessing construction sites and working at heights
  • Structured and goal- oriented approach and working behavior
  • Shall have in-depth industry and product knowledge
  • Shall have the ability to foresee risks and mitigate or accurately price risks as they arise
  • Must contribute positively to the team environment, open to collaborate as well as work on self-directed independent projects. Must be self-motivated with the ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • The candidate shall be able to travel based on assigned tasks, both regionally and internationally
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both English and Thai including the ability to write clear and detailed technical reports, presentations, emails, and proposals
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Business/Economics or equivalent degree a plus
