My client is a leading IPP who has a large portfolio of renewable energy projects across the APAC region. They are growing their team in Korea and as a result, are looking for an experienced Grid Connection Manager to help with the development and delivery of several projects they have in hand.

Responsibilities

• Generating relationships with industry bodies eg. network operators
• Identifying and unlocking opportunities within the Transmission and Distribution networks
• Lead the grid negotiations for projects in order to minimise commercial and technical risks
• Managing the troubleshooting in relation to grid issues
• Working alongside the management team to develop grid strategy
• Providing grid connection guidance on offer and modification processes
• Keeping up to date on regulatory and commercial processes
• Evaluate and reduce project costs

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSc preferred)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Fluency in written and spoken Korean
• Existing relationships with KEPCO and Grid Operators in Korea
• Extensive knowledge of local policies and procedures in Korea
• Renewable Energy project experience is preferred
