About the Role

NextWave is partnered with a leading global IPP and developer of utility scale solar PV projects with more than 500 employees across 5 continents and a 20 GW+ project pipeline. Having successfully expanded in to 12 new markets in the last 18 months, they're now looking for a Commercial Manager, Battery Storage to join their PPA focused team in London.

Responsibilities

• Identify, follow and research relevant developments in regulation and policy around Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and energy sales for European markets.
• Carry out research and analysis of UK and European wholesale energy markets in order to be able to advise on the structuring and negotiation of PPAs.
• Involvement in the procurement process to secure PPA/Off-take agreements for solar projects.

Requirements

• Familiar with contractual structuring of PPAs, and knowledge of energy policy and regulation.
• Experience in negotiating with Utility or Corporate PPA off-takers.
• 3+ years of experience working in the European Energy Markets, with an ability to display a strong understand of the key drivers and trends.
• Bachelors Degree in relevant field.
• Experience with Solar PV/Battery Storage Technologies.
